In 2008, Angelica declared bankruptcy after losing her job.

At the time, it felt catastrophic.

Looking back, she describes it as the best thing that ever happened to he, because it wiped the slate clean.

With no debt to protect and nothing left to lose, she made a decision that would define the next decade of her life: she opened a yoga studio.

For roughly ten years, she built and ran a thriving yoga studio business. The model worked!  Yoga teacher trainings drove the real revenue, while classes largely covered overhead.

But around 2018, she hit an invisible ceiling. She ran the numbers.

Opening a second location would just split the profits, not grow them. She had achieved her original dream, and the dream had a cap on it.

That turning point came at the 10X Growth Conference in 2018, where she heard speakers like Grant Cardone and Andy Frisella reframe traits she'd always seen as flaws; Relentless focus, an all-or-nothing work ethic, an inability to coast as exactly the traits needed to win at a higher level.

Then Russell Brunson took the stage, built a sales funnel in real time, and started making money in front of the audience.

The insight was immediate: you can make far more money online than in person, with far less overhead.

Angelica sold the yoga studio, bought a boat, took some time to decompress and by early 2021, with around $30,000 left and no desire to ever work for someone else again, she went online.

She started from zero.

No followers. No audience. No brand.

Just a phone, a camera, and a lot of trial and error including early posts where she was editing her body in photos because she thought she had to look a certain way to be taken seriously online.

What she learned quickly:

authenticity converts better than polish. Real people responding to a real person beats a curated persona every time.

She stopped the filters and started posting twice a day, every day, on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram for two years straight before things really began to move.

Here's what she's direct about: if you're not willing to show up consistently on social media and build a community, an online business is not for you. 

There's no hack, no outsourcing shortcut, no passive income cheat code that replaces genuine presence and engagement.

She still responds to nearly every comment herself today.

But she also didn't do it alone and this is the part most successful online entrepreneurs gloss over. Angelica invested heavily in education:

She frames it plainly: this is your college degree.

You're not going to build a serious online business for free any more than you'd get a professional education for free.

The people telling you otherwise are selling you the pipe dream, not the path.

The revenue numbers are the most clarifying part of Angelica's story, because they're honest.

This wasn't an overnight success. It was a compounding one.

The leap from year two to year three wasn't magic.

It was paid advertising.

Angelica now spends $500 a day on ads, and she's blunt about why:

it's not the best product that wins, it's the best marketed product.

You can be the most talented person in your niche.

If no one sees you, it doesn't matter.
